The one about the spies

THE BIG IDEA

According to the Torah Energy — this weekend is the most important time of the year to activate the innate healing powers you possess when you see with good eyes.

Notwithstanding a year of war and existential threats, or perhaps in spite of them, the fact that I am sipping my morning coffee in a land spiritually designated to my ancestors after thousands of years of exile should be enough to fill anyone with complete awe.

And so, this torah cycle around, instead of seeing the sin of the spies and the people that trusted in fear as the hardest (and sadly, most persistent) energy in the nation of Israel’s formation story, let’s do our best to understand this story as proof that - despite a nation saying THE MOST OFFENSIVE THINGS to the Source Energy of the Universe that split a sea and saved a bunch of slaves from a life of torture and oppression — this week we gained a spiritual logic powerful enough to overturn harsh decrees we bring upon ourselves.

The explicit negotiation between God and Moses is a prayer playbook for all that consciously choose life, specifically life in the Land of Israel.

Let’s do our best this weekend to channel Moses, and actively remind divinity that the continual existence of The Jewish State in Israel is proof to the world in God’s existence, and it is for God’s sake, not our own personal benefit, that we must win this war and thrive on this land.

This Shabbat pull down the 13 attributes of mercy on behalf of our soldiers that stand on our borders protecting this land. And trust that divine karmic consequence will deal always with those that use this time to spread hate in this land — our only duty during this time is to see this holy land and one another with loving faithful eyes.
