Korach

THE BIG IDEA

Each day this war carries on, everyone living in the Land of Israel is forced deeper and deeper into the great unknown.

During this time of uncertainty it is of utmost importance to get a hold of your “Inner Korach”, the part of your self that consistently challenge authority and always thinks it knows best.

For those that need a refresher, Korach was the Levite that initiated a spiritual uprising against Aaron (and Moses) in an effort to gain spiritual power. In response to his claim to power Moses invited Korach and the rebels to a spiritual showdown which ended with Korach, his family, and all of his possessions being swallowed by the earth — making it obvious that Korach’s spiritual aspiration was for power bound by this world - not, as he claimed, to be in heavenly service.

The lesson here is not to suppress our opinions - disagreements are a healthy and necessary part of life, and our opinions are meant to be different — but before you take the streets, or speak out in outrage — take a moment to question the motivations of your inner fire, and distance yourself from anyone (or that part of yourself) that is acting simply for the sake of personal power and ego. 

At some point soon we are all going to have to accept that the only reason the Jewish people still exist, and specifically exist in the Land of Israel is because there is a divine force that wills it.  And that divine power is the only thing that can protect us -- not any single person or government or anything. Just God. And anyone who tells you otherwise is lying.
