Noach

THE BIG IDEA

If you have been feeling emotionally overwhelmed this past week or two, you are in good company.  Only 10 generations after eating from the tree of good and evil, the world inclined so consistently to evil the Source Energy of the Universe made the (painful) decision to blot everything out - except for Noah, his family, a representative of each animal species, and water.

According to the Torah Omens it is time to build yourself an arc, take the essential parts of yourself and your world, climb inside, and let everything that is unbearable about existence be washed away.

However, a word of caution, the flood was unable to remove the distortions of ego and sexual perversion from humanity. This weekend is a favorable time to internalize God’s own acceptance that the human mind is evil from youth, and we live in a reality where we must constantly make the choice to good for ourselves.

CLEANSING PROCESS

Time to spend some quality time with the Noach part of yourself and this world.

This weekend, find a comfortable place to sit, steady your breath, close your eyes, and try to find the parts of yourself that are most “Noach”; the parts that are most at ease, the parts that are most soothing to yourself and others.

Imagine building yourself an arc type structure. Be sure to stock your arc with all your favorite foods, blankets, and comforts.  And then, once it feels complete, bring these “Noach” parts of yourself and the people and animals around you into your “arc.”

Imagine a huge storm brewing outside your arc, as you cozy up to these soothing parts of yourself and people around you.

Watch as the anger, resentment, insult, hurt and pain of this world gets washed away, along with all the people and beings that have caused you harm.

Feel the safety inside your arc, as you take comfort in the parts of yourself and your world that feel closest and most pleasant to you.

Allow yourself to float in this safety for at least 40 minutes, drifting away from the pain of this world, connecting only to what is “Noach,” what is at ease in yourself and your life.

And then,

When you feel totally cleansed of the thoughts,

Slowly remember your place in this world.

Allow the storm to end, and the waters to slowly recede around you.

Take your time. Slowly, slowly, see your arc come back down to an earth cleansed of all the aspects that once haunted you.

What you feel ready, see the door of the arc open and step out into this newly cleansed world.

Start this week refreshed.

And each time you see an rainbow after a storm try to remember that each year the hardest parts of ourselves and this world get metaphysically washed away, and we have a chance to try again.
