THE BIG IDEA

Step away from the mountain, a new chapter has begun. The seven week spiritual cycle that began on seder night has successfully completed itself. Congratulations!

Lift the golden lamp, blow the silver horns, assemble yourself, feel divinity’s protection surround you as you step into the unknown, this week’s torah omens urge us to move life forward. Bask in the positive energy you brought down at Sinai and stay alert. Complaining season is upon us.

Are you having nostalgic pangs for a fictional past like the riffraff in the desert (remembering having the life of royalty when in truth you lived like a slave? 

Do you feel like Moses that is brought to his wits end “if this is how it’s gonna be… kill me now”? 

Do you identify with Joshua that yearns for spiritual order?

Or can you best relate to Miriam and Aaron that question a lack in acknowledgement?

If discontent arises during the next weeks, take time to notice the nature of your protest.

Ask for help when you need it, and expect to be answered; with support when you have a valid protest, and with karmic consequence when you don’t. 

This week is also a favorable time to activate Moses’ vision for a nation of prophets - the wind of God is descending upon us.

And finally… it is also a great week to ask for healing of the feminine parts in us all. In an effort to heal his sister Moshe opens a prayer superhighway for us all.
