THE BIG IDEA

I hope everyone is recovering from the direct infusion of consciousness brought down with Purim’s power lights, and is basking in a blissed out state of awe. According to the Torah Omens this was the week we were meant to receive two tablets of stones carved directly by the finger of God, however, the people couldn’t handle it.

Instead of a Shabbat filled with the joy of spiritual victory, we are immediately stepping into a moment of deep shame and loss. 

This shabbat marks the sin of the golden calf, the shattering of the first set of tablets, and the bloody civil war needed to root out the true disbelievers from the collective.

This is also when the actual structure of Moses’ internal prayer is revealed. Appealing to God’s sense of covenant, defending God’s public image, and appealing to divinities 13 attributes of compassion and mercy… and Moses got closer than ever to God… so it’s not all bad.

PS. Moses ended up getting a second set of tablets made with the force of his energy. Thanks Moses!
