Pinchas
THE BIG IDEA
For the spiritually aligned, you will likely feel a drop in energy over the next 3 weeks. This past Thursday marked the 17th of Tammuz, the time when we bring the destruction of our temple and loss of our spiritual potential into conscious awareness. It is time to start preparing yourself for the 9 of Av, the lowest point in the jewish spiriutal cycle.
When used correctly - this time of the year allows you to process any feelings of lack you carry in your personal and our collective Jewish story. Know that it isn’t just in your head. If tears come, this is the time to allow them, knowing you are crying about a story bigger than your own.
But it’s not all doom and gloom - hope can be found in this week’s torah energies in Parshat Pinchas. Immediate action to preserve the honor of G-d is rewarded, women find their voice and secure land rights, and Joshua, the faithful servant is endowed with the light of Moses’ leadership. Those who were once less invisible are able rise up and are acknowledged by the divine and the entire nation. What we sense as lack is often blessing that needs the right conditions to happen — be sure to add that awareness into your 3 week meditation!
