Walk for yourself.

THE BIG IDEA

We are at the point of new beginnings (again). Avram, and his life partner Sarai, have entered the story exposing us to the inner workings of a couple that has chosen to walk in divine connection with the Source Energy of the Universe— and one another.

Take time this weekend to bathe yourself in these primary archetypal energies as they touch our collective consciousness for the first time in this spiritual cycle. Pull down the alignment into your self and your partnerships.

These spiritual heroes, like us, can’t see the future, or directly alter fate with their personal will. Abraham and Sarah never once performed magic, a miracle or a healing. They were subject to famine, the whims of Pharaoh, and the arrogance of Hagar. Their power is their spiritual alignment with God, co-operation as a couple, and their ability to take clear, precise action. Use this weekend to pull their legacy of alignment deep into your bones.

FOR REFERENCE:
Masculine Alignment

Note the characteristics in the masculine as manifest through Abraham;

The ability to hear the divine call, the constant offering and acknowledgment to the voice of God, the bravery to go to war to help family, the charity to compensate the men that join him in battle, the acknowledgment of the power and wisdom in his partner and wife, the honesty with God at the limits of his belief, the willingness to cut his own flesh

Feminine Alignment

Take note of the unique characteristics of the feminine as manifest through Sarah;

Her willingness to risk her own life to save her husband’s, her attention to the profound challenge to her partner and husband’s faith, her selflessness when she offered her Egyptian maidservant Hagar to her beloved Abraham as a surrogate for their lineage, her unapologetic ability to assert her position as the matriarch when Hagar tries to elevate her position over Sarah’s.

Relational Alignment

A husband’s humility to ask his wife to protect him when his life was in danger (a man who later takes on 5 kings), Sarah’s clear communication when her peace is disturbed by Hagar, and Abraham’s unflinching response when he hands the matter of Hagar, now pregnant with his child, back to his wife to handle entirely.

SOMATIC MEDITATION

GODDESS SARAH

All hail the goddess Sarah.

The Torah portrays Sarah as a woman so radiant in her beauty that the Egyptians take her directly to Pharaoh’s palace and sing her praises when she enters their land. As wife willing to risk her own life to save her husband’s. A goddess protected directly by God when her husband cannot defend her honor.

Imagine, for a moment, that you are Sarah. Radiant and clear, as your husband speaks directly to the Source Energy of the Universe. You, like your husband, are aware of the prophecy of a great nation, and the countless children that will fill a promised land. Yet for all your spiritual power you have you are unable to conceive a child.(remember - until the past 100 years a woman’s fertility was her entire value).

Take some time to cultivate your connection for Sarah.

Try to imagine Sarah’s vision for the child born from her Egyptian maidservant, Hagar. Imagine how you might feel when you see your maidservant gloat as she carries your beloved’s child.

Connect with Sarah’s strength and clarity as she asserts herself before her husband and God with neither doubt nor question of her spiritual entitlement.

Internalize the divine feminine of the Goddess Sarah, teaching us an essential lesson in the ancient and modern world.  The ability to bear a child does not make one woman superior to another.

PERSONAL ALIGNMENT MEDITATION

This meditation will be best activated while inside a prayer or existing meditation practice.

Find your space of inner most connection and take your awareness to the crown of your head. Allow a circle to form above you. Let that circle widen large enough for the light to come in directly and surround you completely. The same energy that touched Abraham and Sarah is ready to touch anyone that is open to that consciousness.

Speak to it.

Ask it for help in the places you need support.

Ask it to heal you and this planet on every level.

Ask it to remove doubt, blocks or illusions about your sense of purpose and place in the world.

Ask to be filled with guiding light, clarity, security in your body and the world, comfort and direction.

Ask it to bless you with a Shabbat Shalom!
