THE BIG IDEA

Wednesday night (Thursday night in Jerusalem) is a highly favorable time to get happy. Purim is the one day of the year the channel to the divine opens through laughter and silliness. 

Take advantage of this powerful energetic opening, do things that delight your heart, and secure this positive essence into your life through Esther-like surrender. This is the one time of the year we can bring down ‘new light,’ the source of thoughts, ideas and possibilities previously inconceivable.

And after the party is over, step into your inner temple and imagine yourself as Aaron or one of his sons, standing before God and the people, as Moses initiates them into holy service.

According to the Torah Omens this weekend is an excellent time to initiate yourself in the path of light. Make Purim your model — with each moment of joy and laughter remember your power to pray for more.

HIGH PRIESTING

Wake up to the morning of your sacred initiation.

Enter the Tent of Meeting.

Allow Moses to wash you and dress you in sacred garments.

Feel oil on the top of your skull dripping down.

Inhabit Aaron. 

Step inside the moment he went from ‘brother of Moses’ to ‘High Priest.’ and try to see your future for the first time.

Remember, when Aaron was appointed spokesperson for Moses neither he nor Moses had any idea that the role of ‘High Priest’ was coming. Neither had any idea what would be asked of them.

What unexpected initiation is awaiting you?

Will you be the initiate, the one performing the initiation, or the witness to the ceremony?

Breathe deeply into your body and allow yourself to sense into the unknown holy potential for your existence.
