The life of Sarah

THE BIG IDEA

After weeks of intensity, this week’s torah energy has a calm forward motion to it. Expect a sense of closure or easing to stories or issues that have affected your life over the last few weeks or months. Sarah, Abraham and Ishmael are buried - and Isaac’s wife is found.

This Shabbat is an excellent time to pause and breathe into the moment.  The gentle energy of love available this week is the quiet that follows being deeply tested.

Abraham and Sarah walked over a hundred years of life together, but they didn’t die together. Rivka was the perfect match for Isaac, but she didn’t come from a perfect family. Abraham and Sarah birthed ethical monotheism into the world, but he was able to remarry and have a whole other family after she died.

Try your best to remember - closure doesn’t often come as we might imagine - but it does come.

And for those that love the thrill… don’t worry, in torah, as in life, next week will bring a whole new wave of energy.
