To Walk.

THE BIG IDEA

How’s your soul cleanse going?

This week’s Torah Omens assure us that failure is virtually guaranteed. The Source energy of the Universe knows that we will stray, God will be angry and will hide himself, and yet, there is always a key to win favor back yet again.

And so, in this remaining days before the sealing in of our individual and collective fate on September 16th, relax in knowing your misalignment is to be expected, and take the remaining Days of Awe to recommit to spiritual law, actively practice generosity and charity, acts of kindness and focused prayer. Take full advantage of the 10 day long introspective process that connects this month’s New Moon with the sealing in of the year’s energy on The Day of Atonement.

Because ready or not, conscious or not, the final evaluation arrives, and it is a pity not to give your soul it’s best chance to pull down into clarity the best for yourself, for your world, for this planet.

DEEPER DIVE

Vayelech translated as to walk, is one of the final chapters in both the book and Moses’ life and the one where he writes the physical torah.

This overview and this analysis are both helpful tools for deeper understanding.

In lieu of my own deeper dive, this week’s Torascope will focus on the type of Inner Work Questions that might help prepare you for Wednesday night/Thursday’s final soul scan.

INNER WORK GUIDE

The following are a list of questions that are meant to inspire your soul cleanse process. The questions are meant to assist with self adjustment, by sparking curiosity. If there is an area that feels especially tender I recommend journaling, talking to a teacher, therapist, coach or good friend, and most importantly taking action. Giving charity, and helping another, and actively shifting behaviors are the best ways to offset any negative thinking that might be stuck.

You also might want to take the time this weekend to apologize to anyone that might need to hear it.

Begin with a list of the positive:

Ask yourself:

  1. Where are the places in my life I have shown the most growth?

  2. What dreams have I realized, or steps have I taken toward achieving those dreams?

  3. What positivity have I inspired in myself or others this year?

Then make a list of the places that you feel less positive about yourself:

  1. Where do I feel like I fall short or fail?

  2. Where have I actually failed myself, other people, or spiritual law?

  3. How do I carry the feeling of failure in my life?

Take special note of the distinction between feeling you failed and actual failure. Note the difference if you can.

More QUESTIONS:

What part of myself do I love?

Is there a part of myself that I hate?

What part of myself or things I do that I am I proud of?

Is there a part of myself or my past actions I am ashamed of?

Again, notice the differences in the answers.

How are those places of positive and negative related?

How do they balance each other?

What ways can you use this awareness to expand or grow your relationship to self and adjust your personal alignment?

Final suggestion: DESIGN YOUR YEAR

Make a list of the year you want.

For yourself.

For people in your life.

For your world.

For the planet.

If you could ask for anything in the world, what would you ask for?

Why are you asking for those things? (make a case for yourself)

How does the Source Energy of the Universe (and all people) benefit from my getting those things?

When you step into Wednesday night (Yom Kippur) feel totally prepared, and then, if you can, completely let go and surrender to whatever comes.

Wishing everyone the best possible outcome for your life, the lives of those you love, and this entire planet.
