THE BIG IDEA

As perpetual seekers of comforts and pleasure, it is almost impossible to understand the spiritual value in suffering, and it is even harder to accept that suffering does not equal abandonment — even when the suffering intensifies.

Trust that your cries and prayers are being heard, and trust that acting in alignment is being noticed.

The survival of the Jewish nation came through the hands of two women, Shifra and Pooah, the midwives tasked to kill all boy children, who boldly defy the will of a Pharaoh—  instead choosing to fear God, and give life to the children.

For anyone that has been wondering about God’s thought process in the past few months, take time to remember the pains in which our holy nation formed in the womb of Egypt, and do your best to feel the merits of all the Israeli mothers that maintain their connection with the divine (even as their child’s life is on the line) as a protective shield, giving the possibility of life to us all.

P.S.

For anyone that is squeamish about the concept of colonization, it is important to note that the original divine design for the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob was never an empty plot of land….

I have come down to rescue them from the Egyptians and to bring them out of that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey, the region of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

It is also important to note that none of the tribes indigenous to the land exist today.
