THE BIG IDEA

According to the Torah Omens this is an excellent time to bring the light back into your life.

Allow the Chanukah lights to lift you out of winter’s dark abyss, and replenish you with the abundance of divine presence pouring into our spiritual system until Monday evening.

Take your time when applying this light to any broken relationships with parents, teachers, siblings, children or friends that need healing. Remember it takes eight days for the light to build, and time for broken relationships to heal - especially with family.

Like Joseph you might be so completely transformed you are completely unrecognizable to the people that first hurt you, and like Joseph, you might want to wait until you are able to fully drop into your emotional body, release the deep tears of higher understanding, and steady yourself, before opening yourself up again.

Allow an end, make space for a new beginning.

And if you should find yourself in the position of the brothers, racked with guilt, feeling punished for a past wrong, use the light of this weekend to restore your faith. Remember, Joseph was actually alive and thriving, the temple was saved, and the light, also in these times, will always prevail.

SOMATIC EXERCISE

HANNUKAH MEDITATION

On Sunday night, line 8 candles up in a row.

Give each of the candles a specific intention or prayer.

As you light the candles from left to right, bring conscious light to each of your prayers.

Meditate on the flame for 30 minutes.

Gaze into the blessing come down on your candles and candles being lit around the world, with a dense concentration in Jerusalem and across Israel.

Be Blessed by your ability to light your own lights.

Happy Hannukah
