My Laws

THE BIG IDEA

According to the Torah Omens this is an excellent time to explore the negative consequences of neglect or defiance in your relationships (especially toward divinity) and expand your appreciation for the role fear plays in your lives.

Sense into the feelings of anger, frustration and annoyance that arise when (clearly expressed) wishes and desires are ignored or denied.

B’chukotai, (my laws), is the final chapter in the 3rd book of Torah (V’Yikra) and culminates in the blessing of abundance and curse of terror when the spiritual guidelines of God are either followed, or ignored and perverted.

Learn from the God-clarity to define your own boundaries. Notice areas in your own life you could express your needs and the consequences of wrong actions more clearly.

The harsh energy is softened by the energy of the 4th week between Passover to Shavuot that carries the energy of consensus, and peace making.

Try to embrace any fear of consequence as a motivation for peacefulness and connection with others, God and yourself. And remember, the feeling of security (to the divine) is ALSO the basis for the abundant blessing.

FEAR vs. KARMIC CONSEQUENCES

Perhaps this week’s chapters are not meant to inspire fear, but rather, describe the process by which fear becomes  internalized when a person (and one’s ancestors) dissociate from Source Energy and spiritual responsibilities.

Notice places you have inherited unconscious anxiety in your life.

The karmic consequence of spiritual disobedience is a statement of fact, as assured as the blessing that comes with devotion. Both are passed on to future generations to reap the benefits or process the terror.

Just like the Torah describes its hope for overflowing abundance and profound security, the Torah also describes (and predicts) profound anxiety and insecurity when one cuts off.  Notice places it manifests in you.

SELF AWARENESS EXERCISE

Take some time this weekend to find the places that real fear and anxiety overtake logic in your life.

Are you worried about feeding yourself, clothing yourself, or having a decent place to live?

Can you meet your basic needs but still worry that ‘you don’t have enough?’

Do you believe that everyone is trying to take advantage of you (even in situations that prove to be peaceful)?

Notice any places that you are carrying the internalized consequence that you inherited through your bloodline, and do your best to reconnect to the feeling of security and connection to the absolute source of all.

Shabbat Shalom! xxx
