The Shabbat of Soothing

THE BIG IDEA

After 9 days of mourning over the consciousness we lost with the destruction of our temples, allow this special Shabbat Nachamu energy (the shabbat of soothing) to fill your heart and soul. Be gentle with yourself this shabbat, the time of low energy and sadness has come to an end, allow yourself the space you need to come back to your fullest brightest self.

To support your energetic return, tap into the powerful tools of consciousness we are gifted by Moses in this week’s torah energy.

The first tool is to be found by imagining yourself at the foot of Mount Sinai - to feel the cells in your body shake with the thundering power of the Divine revealing himself in the world via the gift of light (consciousness) contained in the ten commandments. Try this daily visualization to fill yourself with positive energy.

The second spiritual power tool given this week is the Shemah – the process of unifying the consciousness of the divine by holding the name of the divine (Hashem)  together with the concept of the infinite manifestations of the divine (Elokim) and holding it together as one consciousness. Try this mediation when you wake up and before you go to bed.

The final is a mediation that we often forget as the basis of it all – the Ein Od Milvado - the idea that there is no other, and we were shown at Sinai that there is no other (according to Rashi G-d opening the 7 upper and 7 lower heavens proving it was all one). I suggest turning to this when your thoughts get ahead of you, when life isn’t turning out the way you think it should, to know it could be no other way, and there is no other force, and there is only one in the universe.

Use these three mantras to fill yourself with the Source Love necessary to fully receive the full moon of love on Tuesday night. Know yourself as a being of love, filled with love, connected through a divine experience to the source of all love.
